The vent shade is the “overhang,” or piece of rubber, that is attached to the top of your driver’s side door or other door or window. One of its main functions is to keep rain and snow from entering your vehicle. It’s particularly helpful when you have to drive up to something, like a bank ATM or a drive-thru window.
A quarter piece is exactly what it sounds like – a small piece of glass that is often between the driver’s or passenger’s window and the windshield or back glass. When it is broken, it gives carte blanche for moisture, rain, wind, and other problems to get into your interior.
Similar to your windshield, your back glass is the large piece of glass that is above your trunk or part of your hatchback. Most often, it doesn’t become damaged from flying debris (which is the main reason windshields get damaged).
Re-calibration is necessary to get the entire system back to the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) standards. This ensures that all of your features will keep working – reliably and efficiently – so that you don’t have to worry as you drive.
No matter what the cause of your damage is, Joe’s Glass Co. can get everything fixed up for you in a jiffy – usually under an hour. In some cases, drivers still can’t find the time to make an appointment because of their busy lives.
Maybe you were in the city, and your car was vandalized. No matter the reason, driving without a side mirror poses a safety risk. It’s relatively quick and straightforward to be replaced, even if you have heated side mirrors or other technology.
We have been servicing the greater Washington area for the last 20 years and are familiar with all aspects of the auto glass industry, from your windshield to custom glass jobs. We can get your rear view mirror fixed and replaced in a little under an hour so you can be on your way.
We have techs that are well-versed in all types of glass work, from your everyday driver to the glass on an 18-wheeler. There literally isn’t any type of auto glass we can’t replace. So, if you need some glass work done on your backhoe, tractor, bulldozer, trailer, crane, or even train windows, we’ve got you covered.
A lot of older cars didn’t follow similar models like the ones that are built today, so when it comes to the size and type of the panels, it may be tough to find a piece of glass that’s cut perfectly to fit – as well as an experienced technician to install it for you.
Joe’s Glass Co. has been servicing the greater Washington area for the past 21 years, and we’re proud to be doing such great work. Not only are we your go-to shop for regular windshield replacement or auto glass work, but we can work on your vintage cars, heavy equipment, or oversize vehicles.
We work on any type of vehicle that has glass of any sort– we can work on your regular car, truck, or SUV, your oversize vehicles such as buses or RVs, or even heavy equipment such as tractors and bulldozers.
We can work on your oversized vehicle, like a bus or RV, a piece of heavy equipment like a tractor or crane, a train car, and your classic car. We can also perform standard work on your car, truck, or SUV and will work with your insurance company if needed.
Your windshield is comprised more of a laminated glass, which makes it easier to repair after impact, depending on how forceful the impact was. However, your passenger windows are made of tempered glass, which is quite different.
We can handle many different types of jobs, such as windshield repair, back glass replacement, side mirror repair, and work on heavy equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, and tractors.
If you need repair or replacement on a classic car, we have the right type of glass. We also do non-auto glassworks, such as rock chip repair, vent shade replacement, and windshield calibration.
Your door glass is usually made of tempered glass, so in many cases, damage to it won’t be a little mark or ding. Tempered glass is designed to break into fine, sandy quality so that it poses less of a danger to drivers and passengers.
